Those lucky enough to live in Vancouver have a plethora of vegetarian options to dig into throughout the city. Our town has cracked the code on how to make colourful greens, reds, and oranges rival any traditional eatery. And now, we have yet another spot with an impressive line-up of plant-based eats to enjoy.

Grain Vegetarian Fare is open for business, serving their market and cafe of healthy eats in the bustling East Van neighbourhood.

BREAKFAST, COFFEE, BAKED GOODS…

The quaint cafe-style eatery serves up some wicked breakfast offerings with smashed avocado toast, a warm acai bowl, matcha trail mix, and a peanut butter energy bar to fuel up for the day ahead.

And you can’t do all-day breakfast without having an amazing coffee bar. Get your caffeine fix with an americano or kick it up a notch with their signature turmeric ginger latte or Japanese-style organic matcha latte.

JAPANESE-INSPIRED VEGETARIAN DISHES

The team behind Grain Vegetarian Fare is of Japanese heritage and they’re bringing the taste of Japan into their authentic cuisine.

But they take it beyond the typical sushi by providing guests with a veggie-powered menu of steaming udon, spicy tan tan ramen, rice noodles with an organic cashew sauce, or the ever-so-popular buddha bowl. Vancouverites just can’t get enough fresh takes on a veggie and rice bowl.

GRUB AND GO

What makes this spot so unique is that they also have a marketplace to grab some grub to go. You’ll find an array of ready-to-eat products including salads, sandwiches, smoothies, as well as onigiri (Japanese rice balls), vegan ramen, and udon noodles.

Ready to discover your new favorite weekday go-to? Stop by their location on East Hastings to get your hands on some of the most wholesome and flavourful vegetarian and vegan eats in the city.
