Who says plant-based eaters can’t enjoy comfort food? Well, seeing is believing: there’s a pizza joint in town that will satisfy even the most dedicated meat-lovers with their consciously-crafted, plant-based eats.
Vegan Cave offers patrons a selection of delicious all-vegan pizzas, salads, soups, and desserts. So it should come as no surprise that it’s one of the most popular spots in town for Vancouver’s exploding veg-forward crowd to go for a casual bite.
Brought to you by the folks behind the ever-famous Caveman Cafe, you know you’re guaranteed a quality meal. Expect homemade crusts—available gluten-free or with organic whole wheat—as well as cheese made from cashews coming together on pies piled high with fresh ingredients. Fitt Tip: our favourite is the Freaky Greeky, consisting of a combo of cashew feta, garlic, tomato, olives, red onion, oregano, pesto, and walnuts. Try it — you won’t regret it!
Picky eater? No problem at all. Vegan Cave allows you can create your very own plant-based pizza to your own preference!
And if you’re craving something sweet, they also have a great selection of vegan desserts, including Peanut Butter Stuffed Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Chocolate Coconut Mousse, Almond Butter and Carrot Energy Bars, and more!
Do yourself a favor—head on over to their Instagram page, where you will see for yourself their drool-worthy food—but don’t look on an empty stomach! And if you can’t bring yourself out of bed on those dreary, rainy, Vancouver days, they do delivery via Doordash… just saying.
Vegan Cave, open as of fall 2018, is located at 415 Abbott St. and is open Monday to Friday from 11am till 10pm, on Saturdays from noon till 10pm, and Sundays from noon till 7:30pm. Come grab a slice of this guilt-free pizza!
