You can already find their decadent treats and make-you-second-guess-its-GF loaves of bread at grocers and restaurants throughout the city, but we can’t not get excited about an incoming outpost with a full menu of sandwiches and paninis.

  • 🍳 Fava-ful Bites

It looks like Fava Pot, the sit-down Egyptian restaurant in Falls Church, can’t stop growing! What started as a food truck (and still is one!) on the streets of the DMV, is expanding with a second location in Rosslyn. From breakfast to dinner, you’ll be able to dine-in or take-out gluten-free, veggie, and all-around healthy spiced dishes of eggs, kebabs, and phyllo-wrapped eats.

  • 🙌 Opa!

DC loves its Mediterranean flavors, and you can now add one more eatery to the list — there’s a new fast-casual spot for Greek eats in DuPont Circle. Souvlaki will serve—you guessed it—souvlaki, as well as spreads, veggie-filled salads, and build-your-own platters and pitas. Stop by for fresh, bright ingredients, plus authentic meze plates with a contemporary twist.

  • 🌱 Fresh Food Faceoff

There’s a new fast-casual restaurant in town serving Mediterranean-inspired bowls filled with falafels, grilled proteins, fresh veggies, dips, and sauces. Mezeh just opened at Ballston Quarter and has a location coming to Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. This NoVa-founded eatery makes all of its food in-house and is the place to go if you’re a lover of nearby CAVA and LebTav. We think a taste-test is a must!

  • 🤓 Study Break

If you’re still in school and love a good adrenaline-fueled study break, you’re in luck! SoulCycle just launched student pricing, which means undergrad and grad students can now snag a class or class pack at a rate that won’t break your dwindling bank account. Ditch your studies and grab your cycling shoes for 45 minutes of book-less, sweaty fun.

  • ⚡ Non-Stop Fitness

It looks like a few city studios are starting to grow into one-stop shops for a well-rounded fitness routine. The latest? Wired Cycling DC. The multi-faceted concept already offers yoga, TRX, and strength classes, in addition to its OG spin sessions, but the new build out that’s in the works will now make it possible to sweat it out in a barre or Pilates workout, too. We can’t wait!

  • 😢 Fast Act

Did you ever manage to get out to D/RT in Arlington? We hope so because the healthy eatery known for serving delicious dishes that cater to just about every palate closed its doors on January 26 with little explanation. You’ll have to find a new place to get your clean eats at Ballston Quarter — luckily, there’s a Cava, a True Food Kitchen, and a Sweetgreen in the area.

  • 👟 Run It Out

Being in the city can make it hard to create a community vibe and meet people. Enter: Somewhere’s new social run club. The boutique and cafe in the Navy Yard is now hosting an all-levels group jog every Sunday at 10am. After you weave your way through the city streets, catch up over coffee with your new fitness friends.
