This sport goes way beyond college days of passing a disc. Ultimate requires endurance, speed, and agility. Or just a willingness to learn and a cheerful attitude. The Washington Area Frisbee Club (WAFC) offers divisions for beginners to the ultimate ultimaters throughout the year, so you can try the game that keeps drawing hundreds of people to the Mall and Polo Fields. Although this league was started by Capitol Hill staffers, they put politics aside when they put their baseball caps on. A decade after its founding, USHSL still unites roughly 100 teams and 1,000 players for games throughout the summer. The culmination is Tournament Saturday, when teams battle it out to become House League Champion. USCSL is truly a league of its own, when DC’s social landscape converges to play ball!
